Short answer: very limited, non-health, non-journal data — only what’s needed for basic product improvement, bug fixing, and marketing measurement.
What they CANNOT access
Our analytics providers do not have access to:
- Health data (sleep, activity, etc.)
- Journal entries (notes)
- Tags (manual or smart)
- Personal details about your life (like trips or events)
- Any information that directly identifies you
Amplitude (product analytics)
What it can access (examples):
- App opens and time spent in the app
- Button taps and feature usage
- Onboarding completion
- Feature adoption (what’s being used and what isn’t)
- Basic device info (e.g., device model, device type)
Why we use it: to understand what’s helpful, what’s confusing, and what we should improve (or remove).
Sentry (crash + bug reporting)
What it can access (examples):
- Bug/crash reports when something goes wrong
- Basic device and app info (e.g., device model, iOS version, app version)
Why we use it: to spot issues quickly and fix them faster.
AppsFlyer (marketing measurement)
What it can access (examples):
- IDFA (Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers) if you allow it
- App install event
- Subscription status events (e.g., trial started, subscribed, purchase made)
Why we use it: to understand where people discovered Anticipate and measure marketing performance.
How to opt out
You can disable AppsFlyer and Amplitude anytime:
- Go to Profile → Manage your data
- Scroll down to AppsFlyer and Amplitude
- Toggle them off to opt out of tracking
