About your mental health journey and trends

The Journey tab is where Anticipate analyzes your data over time to reveal patterns, trends, and insights. You can find it in the bottom navigation bar. It's the best place to understand the bigger picture of your mental health beyond the daily snapshot.

The Journey Tab

When you navigate to the Journey tab, you'll see a series of insight cards.

These cards are automatically generated by Anticipate based on your data from the last seven days or more. You can swipe left or right to browse through different trends that the app has identified, such as changes in your sleep, stress levels, or mood.

Each card provides a brief summary of a pattern. To dive deeper into a specific trend, tap the Show me button on the card. This will open a detailed chart view.

Analyzing Trends and Correlations

The trend chart visualizes your mental health data over a specific period, allowing you to see highs, lows, and changes.

On this screen, you can:

  • View your trend at a glance: Below the chart, you'll find a short, easy-to-understand summary of what the data means.
  • Compare data points: Use the Compare button at the top right of the chart to overlay other tags and metrics. This helps you discover potential correlations, like how an activity (e.g., swimming) might affect your mood.

Tips for Better Insights

The more information Anticipate has, the more accurate and personalized your Journey insights will be.

To improve your trends:

  • Log your days consistently: Use the + button to add tags for your activities, moods, self-care routines, and any other relevant events.
  • Keep your devices connected: Ensure that your Apple Health data and any other connected devices are syncing regularly.
  • Review and adjust: If an automatically generated tag doesn't seem right, you can always remove it to improve future analyses.
